That message was added to comply with laws passed in several Asian nations in the wake of people actually playing MMOs to death, literally. I'm sure you've heard the stories.
Of coarse, the goal of time sinks in MMOs is to keep subscribers playing. Funny thing is, that makes sense in a subscription based MMO, but why have time sinks like titles in GW? I presume its really just to compete with the WoWs, etc., that have so much of that.

So do YOU feel that - based on the fact that you FAILED to achieve certain things that "I" consider important (well getting laid was thrown in there to keep most of the target audience from succeeding at the poll ) - that "I" have the RIGHT to call you "sad"?
Or a failure?
Considering that that list clearly didn't take into account what YOU stand for, what YOU like, what YOU can do - but it was rather based on what "I" can do? Or like?
Do you?
I feel that I don't that right.
The fact that you didn't go jogging today - means you didn't go jogging today. It doesn't make you sad, or a failure - heck - it doesn't even mean you don't like jogging!
It just means you didn't go for a jog!
(Of course this isn't a war against you - because you clearly have the courage to put yourself in the spotlight even when the light isn't the most flattering. It's just something to think about for the times when we feel like passing judgment!)

Sure you do, if you want. And I'll still consider titles worthless, but that's just me. If that's what you like to do, I don't think that makes you sad. But if you do it despite not liking it, based on some expectation of prestige in the eyes of other players when you display that title, well that is maybe just a little sad.

But do you feel that the title is worthless OR do you feel that the person getting the title is worthless?
For me personally - I'd say the title is worthless. It isn't something I strive for. (Heck - my favorite titles are the lucky-series and the max sweet tooth one - just because they sound so lovely! I don't even farm the SS/LB titles because I care so little about them - well actually I feel strongly against them.)
But that doesn't mean that that gives me the right to pass judgment on someone who has different views or values.
We are just different.
And it doesn't mean that I am better in any kind of way because of it! (Although I am . Just not because of THAT! )

There's no way that you can spend this horrendous amount of time getting these titles and not severely neglect more important aspects of your life. How much exercise are you getting? Are you even working? Going to school?

How did you do that with your name (in the left column)? Why doesn't it link to your profile like the rest of us? And why don't you have the little round bullet that's either green or grey to indicate whether or not you're online? Who are you, mysterious one?

If you somehow feel that your life is perfect in such a way that it would allow you to pass judgement on ANYONE - then sadly for you - it's really not.

1) yes
2) yes (well, actually, I met them in college, still counts)
3) no (doesn't happen every day)
4) in last week? maybe 3 times
5) ooh, about 2 hours per day + hockey training/matches
I am not a cruel person usually. I am a blunt person. If you are playing this game enough to get that title, then you really can't be doing anything else. And what gives me the the right to judge people? And I'm not trying to make myself feel good, I'm hardly Mr. Perfect Tm, but its really unhealthy to be playing computer games that much. What gives me the right to judge other people?
Nothing! But I'm going to do it anway!

Ok so one has r6:"God Walking Among Mere Mortals".
So as a god what sets you apart from the croud? Do you have a aura? Do you have a special emote? Do you have special armor? Do you have a mini me?
Nope your just the same char only with some text that reads "God Walking Among Mere Mortals".
I can't be bothered imo.

Anyway, congrats to your guildie! Hoping to get that myself in the next 2 years... Should take a while

My calculations are 100 years, yes, I will have the title in that time. // Well, scientists must first create something for immortality or for extend life; and ArenaNet shouldn't shut down GW1 servers for a while.

When I see a title that many consider to be uber-leet (Tm), I am not awed. I am not terrified that this player is about to laugh at my meagre "Adventurer Of The North". I think, "Why?"

Because a lot of people with titles that are in the high range category think themselves better because of this virtual deed, than everyone else in real life.
